Trauma patient in near-fatal crash to deliver green flag to Indy 500 start line

Sarah Shore-Beck has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fly into the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Sunday to deliver the ceremonial green flag to the start line of this year's Indy 500. Ahead of her big day, Sarah reunited with the many first responders, doctors, nurses, and other clinicians who had a role in saving her life and getting her back to health after a near-fatal car crash in 2025.

"I don't take lightly at all the fact that I'm still here," said Sarah. "There's beauty in the ashes and when there's something that's hard that happens in your life, there's going to be light on the other side of that darkness."
