Treating COVID from the comfort of your phone

Treating COVID from the comfort of your phone

COVID cases are on the rise across Indiana. Keep you and others safe from the spread of COVID with an up-to-date COVID vaccination, good hygiene and fresh air. If you’re faced with a positive test or have been exposed to the virus, IU Health can help you navigate your next steps and recovery during your isolation window.

Tackling a positive COVID test

  • Isolate for five days from the first day you test positive. Continue to isolate if your symptoms do not improve or you sustain a fever.
  • Seek treatment from a healthcare provider. An IU Health physician will virtually examine you. Be prepared to answer questions about your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle, and the provider will help answer your questions in return. You’ll discuss a diagnosis, hear recommended treatment options and be offered next steps for your recovery.
  • Return to work after five days of isolation and 24 hours without a fever or use of fever-reducing medication. Additional testing isn't required, but you must mask at all times for five days upon returning to work (or until 10 days after your positive test).
  • Stay informed on the CDC’s latest quarantine and isolation recommendations.
