Next, you meet with your oncologist (a physician specially trained to treat cancer) to talk about your symptoms, questions and concerns. After a physical exam, the doctor may recommend additional tests and treatment options. We want you to leave with a clear understanding of the next steps in your treatment plan.
Preparing for your visit
Before your appointment, be sure to gather the following and bring:
- Your medical records, including any imaging procedures such as X-ray, or MRI (or have your doctor send us this information)
- Insurance card(s) and identification
- Your list of current medications, including over-the-counter medicines and supplements
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
