Our cancer team has expertise in today’s advanced treatments and technologies, so you can expect all the amenities of a hospital in an outpatient environment. In addition to your cancer team, you may also see rehabilitation therapists, dietitians, social workers and other health professionals. These specialists work with you and your family to provide continued support and healing.

Our Center is part of the IU Health Cancer Centers, which partners with Indiana University School of Medicine. As an academic medical center, we combine education, research and clinical trials to give you highly skilled and quality care that other hospitals don't have available. About Your Visit

When you are at our center, you are in good hands. Our staff will do their best to make you feel comfortable and let you know what to expect during your visit.

After you check-in, you’ll go to an exam room where a nurse will review your medications and health history. Next, you meet with your oncologist (a physician specially trained to treat cancer) to talk about your symptoms, questions and concerns. After a physical exam, the doctor may recommend additional tests and treatment options. We want you to leave with a clear understanding of the next steps in your treatment plan.

Preparing for your visit

Before your appointment, be sure to gather the following and bring:

• Your medical records, including any imaging procedures such as X-ray, or MRI (or have your doctor send us this information)
• Insurance card(s) and identification
• Your list of current medications, including over-the-counter medicines and supplements
