Spacious Family-Friendly Maternity Suites

Our private labor, delivery and postpartum suites feature modern comforts and plenty of space for you, your support partner and family members. Each room includes:

  • A spacious layout with room to move, rest and bond as a new family
  • In-suite sleeping accommodations for your support person
  • Free WiFi and a flat-screen TV
  • Dimmable lighting
  • A large private bathroom for convenience and privacy

  • Wireless fetal monitoring to allow for freedom of movement during labor
  • On-site operating rooms for scheduled or emergency C-sections

Facility Features

Our state-of-the-art maternity facilities combine comfort and leading-edge care for you and your child. Our team is committed to supporting you with personalized care tailored to your unique needs and circumstances, with:

  • 12 Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) rooms
  • 2 dedicated C-section suites
  • 4 OB Emergency department rooms
  • 6 Private Level II NICU rooms that allow for rooming in
  • 2 hydrotherapy tubs for labor comfort

Our highly skilled providers are on hand at all times with 24/7 Level II NICU coverage for infants who need extra care. Our NICU rooms allow parents to stay close to their babies while they receive advanced care from a dedicated team of neonatal specialists. Each room is designed to support family bonding and privacy.

Additionally, as part of our expansion at IU Health Fishers, we offer a dedicated pediatric Emergency department staffed by Riley Children’s Health emergency medicine physicians, nurses and other medical professionals.

Insurance

IU Health accepts most insurance plans. We recommend that you verify your benefits and eligibility with your insurance company before your visit.

Preparing for Your Visit

Prior to your appointment, please bring the following:

  • Insurance and identification card(s)
  • Bring a copy of relevant medical records
  • A list of current medications, including over-the-counter medicines and supplements

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to complete any outstanding paperwork.

The My IU Health patient portal makes it easy for you to navigate to self-schedule appointments with select providers, send messages to your care team, view results and pay a bill.

Parking and Navigation

  • Patients may be dropped off or picked up at the south entrance H.
  • The Labor and Delivery unit and NICU are located on the second floor of the south tower of the hospital. Follow the signs for Women’s Health. Take the dedicated elevator directly to the second floor or use the public elevators located within the hospital to the 2nd floor.
  • Parking spots dedicated to Laboring Mothers and can be found on the south side of the hospital.
