Biography
Dr. Adam Ellis specializes in anesthesiology and pain medicine.
Training and Credentials
Dr. Ellis earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Sint Maarten. He completed an internship in internal medicine at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan, followed by an anesthesiology residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He then completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Ellis is board certified in both anesthesiology and pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Research and Professional Involvement
Dr. Ellis has presented at national meetings and contributed to research focused on patient care, medical education and pain management. He is an active member of the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS) and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA).
His dedication to pain medicine was recognized with the Alon P. Winnie Award for Outstanding Pain Medicine Fellow of the Year in 2020.
