Dr. Amna T. Ahmed, MD has been practicing cardiology since 2005. Her practice includes providing adult cardiac care to patients with wide variety of cardiac problems including coronary artery disease, structural heart disease, valvular heart disease and heart rhythm disorders. Her special focus is on women’s cardiovascular health. She started her career in women’s cardiology early in her cardiology practice, when she spearheaded a program for women’s cardiovascular health in Washington as the director. This interest has now blossomed into the Cardio-Obstetrics Program at IU Health. This is one of a kind program now being offered at IU with a focus on pregnancy and cardiovascular problems. There is a special focus on high risk pregnant patients with a multidisciplinary approach incorporating high risk OB and cardiology care. Dr. Ahmed also has a special focus and expertise in cardiovascular imaging.

When not practicing medicine, she likes to travel with her family, both inside and outside the US.
