Biography
Dr. Eric Lester brings extensive experience across a variety of healthcare settings. In his current role as the team lead psychologist at the Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic, where he provides clinical care and leadership in integrated behavioral health services. His clinical interests and areas of expertise include bariatric psychology and pre-surgical evaluations, ADHD, psychological assessment, binge eating disorder, anxiety, individual psychotherapy and health behavior change.
Prior to his current role, he served on the faculty at the IU Health Ball Memorial Family Medicine Residency Clinic and worked as a practicing psychologist in a federally qualified health center, delivering integrated primary care services.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Lester is deeply committed to education, training and mentorship. He regularly teaches in the Counseling Psychology graduate program at Ball State University, provided training experiences for doctoral external practicum students at the IU Health Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic, and has supervised psychology postdoctoral fellows.
Dr. Lester’s dedication to professional development and leadership is also reflected in his service roles, including Vice President of the Area Health Education Center and Chair of Medical Associates, the psychology credentialing body within the Department of Psychiatry at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
