Biography

As a pediatrician, my calling is to care for my patients’ health issues and assure their safety in the society. I consider caring for my patients an honor that enables me to care for the whole family. ‘’ My calling to become a pediatrician was personal from a young age to provide care for children but as I was contemplating which specialties to choose. I fall in love with my patients with chronic lung disease and became a pediatric pulmonologist. Soon after practicing, I recognized the importance of sleep and its impact on my patients and became a sleep medicine specialist. Sleep is the foundation of health and caring for my patient with both pulmonary and sleep disorders enable me to care for them and at times for the whole family and I feel I become part of their family. My goal as a sleep medicine specialist is to promote healthy sleep in our children, my special interests are narcolepsy type 1 and 2, sleep disorders breathing and positive airway pressures management with a focus on children with obesity, Down syndrome, and other genetic disorders including but not limited to Prader Willi syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
