Biography
Venkataramanaiah (Ram) Kamatam, PT, MS, DPT, is a physical therapist at IU Health. Ram has over 10 years of experience including outpatient, acute care, and skilled nursing facility and sports clinic in India.
He is certified in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management from the American Institute of Balance and is a certified clinical instructor from APTA. Ram is a dedicated therapist who primarily evaluates and treats patients with orthopedic problems, neurological conditions, balance and vestibular disorders. He provides post-operative care for hip, knee, shoulder replacements and ligament repairs. He performs hands-on manual therapy, joint mobilization, myofascial release techniques and cupping techniques.
Ram speaks 3 languages: Telugu, Tamil and English. He intends to restore normal function and bring patients back to a near-normal functional status in leading a quality life. As a clinical instructor, Ram also guides physical therapy graduates who train at IU Health.
Ram is a fitness enthusiast and real estate fanatic. When not at work, spending time with his family is his priority. He also cooks, watches TV and loves to do CrossFit.
