About Dr. Sarah E. Zauber
Dr. Sarah E. Zauber, MD is a movement disorders neurologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson's disease and other complex movement disorders. She serves as Division Chief of Movement Disorders, Director of the IU Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence, and is the Hopkins Cunningham Family Professor of Neurology at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Dr. Zauber is dedicated to helping patients maintain independence, improve quality of life and navigate the challenges associated with neurological conditions. She works closely with patients and families to develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate the latest advances in medical therapy, surgical interventions and multidisciplinary care.

A nationally recognized leader in movement disorders, Dr. Zauber has served as Director of the IU Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence since 2019 and was promoted to Professor of Clinical Neurology in 2024.
Dr. Zauber has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and scientific presentations focused on Parkinson's disease, deep brain stimulation, Huntington's disease and other movement disorders. Her research interests include advanced Parkinson's disease therapies, deep brain stimulation, neurodegenerative diseases and improving quality of life for patients living with chronic neurological conditions.
Awards and Professional Recognition
Dr. Zauber has been recognized as an Indianapolis Top Doctor since 2018 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. In 2023, she received the Parkinson's Foundation Outstanding Achievement in Palliative Care Implementation Award for her contributions to patient care.
Education and Training
Dr. Zauber earned her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and neurology residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and subsequently completed a fellowship in Movement Disorders at Rush University.
She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
