Meet some of IU Health South Region’s skilled nurses
IU Health Morgan
Nurses Week is a time to recognize the amazing work these experts do every day. Learn about a few IU Health South Region nurses below.

Sarah Dudding, RN | IU Health Morgan Primary Care team lead
Sarah was first introduced to the profession by her father, who is also a registered nurse. She has come full circle in her nursing journey, now caring for her father and helping him remain comfortably at home. It’s a reflection of the compassion and dedication she brings to her work every day, caring for others with the same heart and commitment she learned from him.

Kristen Hutton, RN | IU Health South Region Primary Care Practice Operations manager
Kristen started studying funeral sciences, switched to nursing, and now holds a master’s degree in nursing. She has considered a doctorate; however, her team has been so busy she hasn’t started that program yet.

Lori Owings, LPN | IU Health Nashville office manager
Lori is very involved in the Brown County/Nashville community. She worked as a pharmaceutical rep for many years and established relationships with many team members before joining the IU Health team. She has managed offices in both IU Health Urology and Primary Care.

Amanda Todd, RN | IU Health Bloomington Cardiopulmonary Rehab
Amanda has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in Psychology and Religious Studies, and Elementary Education. She taught overseas in Taiwan for two years and in Bedford for two years, before switching to nursing. Amanda loves the therapeutic relationship that develops with every patient and feels honored to be part of their journeys. She’s taught as an Ivy Tech adjunct, worked in Inpatient Rehab and Behavioral Health, is currently in a Master of Healthcare Administration program, and plans to switch to the nurse practitioner route.

Deb Unversaw, RN | IU Health Bloomington Advanced Heart Care Ambulatory navigator
Nursing gave Deb the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives during their most vulnerable moments and truly connect with people—listening, comforting, teaching and advocating for them. What sealed her decision was knowing nursing offered endless opportunities to grow, learn and adapt. That calling has stayed with her for 45 years. She’s practiced in nearly every aspect of nursing, with a strong preference for high-acuity settings. Deb obtained her MBA to better navigate and comprehend the financial and operational realities of healthcare while continuing to advocate for patients.

Tiffany Wallace, RN | IU Health Morgan Primary Care
Tiffany started working in the Morgan Primary Care front office and stayed with IU Health throughout her nursing program—balancing work, school and clinicals. She graduated in early 2020 and worked for two years in the Emergency department, caring for patients and families during the COVID pandemic. On the Primary Care team, she brings with her extensive knowledge, experience and a calm, caring presence. Her team looks forward to watching her continue to grow and make an impact.

Payton Wendelin, RN | IU Health Bloomington Cardiac Cath Lab
Payton loves being able to help people during some of the hardest times in their lives. Working in the Cardiac Cath Lab has allowed her to provide reassurance to patients during some of the scariest moments, when they are having a heart attack. Being able to build strong connections with her co-workers and the providers while also providing patients with the best care possible is one of her favorite parts of working at Bloomington.
