Physician provides safe space for LGBTQ+ patients

When Dr. Katie Carson was completing her residency at IU Health Methodist, she developed a passion for providing excellent care for LGBTQ+ patients. Now, as a family medicine physician at IU Health West Hospital, she offers a safe space for all patients in the community, including transition care for adult transgender patients.
June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate and commemorate those in the LGBTQ+ community.
“Pride is a time to reflect on the ones who fought before us, respect and honor the achievements of those who stand with us, and advocate for generations ahead of us,” Carson shared.
