Dr. Livera has an American Board of Family Physicians certification and specializes in chronic disease treatment and prevention especially with opioid use disorders. He provides in-patient care, prenatal care and routinely performs colonoscopies. He has been awarded the President Volunteer Award from the University of Limerick two years in a row and is a peer mentor for current medical students.

Dr. Livera earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Limerick in Limerick, Ireland. He attended the University of Toronto in Canada for his Bachelor of Science and majored in human biology with minors in physiology and Christianity & culture. He completed his residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He is on the program evaluation committee at the IU Family Medicine Residency.
