Biography
Throughout Marcella Tashjian-Gibbs, MD, CMD’s medical career, her determination and passion for medicine has not wavered. Attending medical school in Detroit and her residency in Chicago gave her a chance to see severe medical illness in a population in need. She chose Internal Medicine because it requires empathy and provides an intellectual challenge. Her training in geriatrics showed her the important role medicine plays in the transition from adulthood into geriatric years and gave her the tools to help the aging patient have the highest quality of life possible.
