Biography
Dr. Maxey-Smartt has been practicing medicine since 2008. She chose her specialty because it allows her the opportunity to provide care for the whole family. Dr. Maxey-Smartt believes that all patients have the power and means to dramatically improve their health with positive thinking and a healthy lifestyle. She encourages her patients to learn and listen to what their bodies are telling them. Dr. Maxey-Smartt's clinical interests include women's health, pediatrics, diabetes and obesity. Aside from medicine, Dr. Maxey-Smartt enjoys cooking, gardening and exercising.
Dr. Maxey-Smartt received her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at Community Health Network in Indianapolis. Dr. Maxey-Smartt is certified by the America Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Maxey-Smartt is also fluent in Spanish.
