Nurse finds home caring for the sickest patients at Methodist Hospital

When Hailey Ucchino was considering bringing her nursing skills to Methodist Hospital she reached out to a family friend who has spent most of her 40-year nursing career at IU Health. "I wasn't sure if I wanted to be in the emergency department or an intensive care setting so she took me around both of the units and then some. I've been on the cardiac medical critical care unit for three months now and it's everything I hoped it would be. We have very sick patients here, but we also have a lot of resources, education, a bright staff and teamwork. I'm really excited to be a part of this hospital system."
