Physical Therapy
The physical therapists are well-versed in the most up-to-date evidence-based practice and interventions for treating a variety of neurological impairments and functional limitations. Therapists will work with you to help regain or improve your mobility, balance, coordination, and strength, enabling you to participate in daily activities and improve your quality of life.
Every physical therapist at the Neurorehabilitation & Robotics Clinic has at least one advanced certificate in treating patients with neurological disorders. These advanced certifications include:
- Board-certified Specialists in Neurology
- Certified Brain Injury Specialists (CBIS)
- Advanced Vestibular and Concussion specialists
- LSVT BIG certified for Parkinson’s disease
- BalanceWear® Balance Vest certified
- ReWalk Robotics® certified

Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists specialize in helping individuals with neurological conditions regain or improve independence and quality of life by focusing on the impact of these conditions on daily activities. They use a patient-centered approach using both traditional and advanced technology interventions to develop personalized treatment plans to address physical, cognitive, and sensory-motor impairments. This allows patients to participate more fully in daily life, work, and social activities.
Therapists provide applicable training and strategies that focus on daily activities that help in areas such as:
- Neuro or stroke impairments & functional limitations
- Vision therapy
- Gross/fine motor coordination
- Essential tremors
- Upper extremity spasticity
- Range of motion and strengthening
- Wheelchair assessments including pressure mapping

Speech-Language Pathology
Speech therapy focuses on treating communication and swallowing disorders resulting from neurological conditions. This therapy is specifically designed for individuals with neurological conditions like stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's disease, and other conditions that affect the nervous system and impact communication and swallowing. Our speech therapists possess advanced skills and training in treatments for the following conditions, including:
- Dysarthria
- Dysphasia
- Aphasia
- Apraxia
- Voice disorders
- Facial palsy rehabilitation
- Cognition rehabilitation
- Aural rehabilitation
Specialized areas of speech therapy care include:
