Physical Therapy
Our physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists specialize in neurological recovery. They work closely with the specialists at the IU Health Neuroscience Center. You receive the highest quality care during your evaluation and treatment.
Our therapists will work with you and your family to design a plan for you. We want you to reach your greatest potential as you recover and regain function from a neurological condition or injury.

Speech-Language Pathology
We provide speech and language services and treatment of swallowing disorders. We assess both children and adults in the following areas:
- Articulation
- Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC)
- Cognition
- Feeding
- Fluency
- Language
- Oral motor
- Swallowing disorders
- Voice disorders
Evaluation and treatment of swallowing disorders include:
- Bedside/outpatient swallowing evaluation
- Modified barium swallow studies
- Oral or pharyngeal compensatory strategies

This program may be right for you or a loved one if you are recovering and are facing problems such as:

Preparing for your first visit
To make the most out of your appointment, we love to provide some helpful tips. It’s beneficial to read over these tips before your first appointment.
- Bring any post-operative instructions if you’ve recently had surgery.
- Bring insurance card(s) and identification.
- Bring a list of current medications, including over-the-counter medicines.
- Wear comfortable, loose, clothing that you can move around in and allows access to injury or surgical site, if applicable.
- Arrive 30 minutes early to complete any outstanding paperwork.
In case your provider is not an IU Health provider, also please:
- Have your provider send medical records to us before your scheduled visit or bring the information with you during your visit. These may be sent via fax or through the mail.
- If you’ve had any imaging procedures such as X-ray, CT or MRI, be sure to bring reports or films with you. You may also have them sent to us by your provider.
