Biography
Dr. Ryan Kozlowski, MD, is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon with IU Health, where he specializes in operative and non-operative treatment of the hand, wrist, and elbow, with extensive training in hand and microvascular surgery and reconstructive procedures on the elbow including joint replacement and arthroscopy. In addition to his elective practice, Dr. Kozlowski specializes in traumatic injuries of the upper and lower extremities including the hand, fingers, elbow, hip, pelvis, and legs.
A Midwest native, Dr. Kozlowski earned his medical degree from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Following medical school, he completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Detroit Medical Center where he was named Chief Resident. His residency was followed by a fellowship in hand, upper extremity and microvascular surgery in Boston, MA at Tufts University Medical Center and New England Baptist Hospital, an internationally recognized specialty hospital in the treatment of all forms of musculoskeletal disorders and disease. He followed this with an additional fellowship in orthopedic trauma at the Orlando Regional Medical Center, one of the busiest orthopedic trauma centers in the United States, where he focused on operative treatment for complex fractures of the upper and lower extremities and pelvis.
Dr. Kozlowski’s work has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and has been presented at several regional and national meetings. He is also a candidate member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and a board eligible member of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
