IU Health Serves

Meeting the needs of our communities

IU Health Serves v3

At IU Health, our work is guided every day by our values. We’re guided by our mission to improve the health of our patients and communities.

To take these values outside the walls of our hospitals, IU Health created IU Health Serves, a team member volunteer program, to positively impact the health of the communities we serve and foster a culture of engagement and social responsibility.

About IU Health Serves

IU Health team members contribute more than 10,000 hours annually through the program, volunteering their time and talents to improve the lives of others.

What We Do?

  • Days of Service – our largest volunteer activity of the year, consisting of high-impact projects designed to engage IU Health team members in activities that address identified community health priorities. Each IU Health region partners with the communities they serve, and more than 2,000 team members participate annually system wide.
  • Dollars for Doers – a program that provides volunteer recognition by awarding grants to nonprofits where employees volunteer.
  • Lunch and Learns – sessions for team members to learn more about community organizations.
  • Volunteer Projects – impactful volunteer service projects organized with community organizations throughout the year.

If you’re an IU Health team member and would like to sign up to volunteer, learn how to get involved.
