The 340B Drug Pricing Program is a federally mandated program that requires drug manufacturers that participate in Medicaid to offer outpatient drugs to certain qualified entities at reduced prices. The 340B Program enables these covered entities to stretch scarce federal resources as far as possible, reaching more eligible patients and providing more comprehensive services.
It is a vital lifeline for safety-net providers, supporting critical health services, and is crucial in helping IU Health meet the needs of our patients and the communities we serve.
