Every day, IU Health carries out its mission to improve the health of patients and community members in west and central Indiana through innovation and excellence in clinical care, education, research and service.
Our team is proud that our commitment to service extends beyond our hospital walls.
Partnerships
In addressing the identified community priorities, IU Health Arnett, Frankfort and White Memorial hospitals have partnered with a number of high quality, highly engaged community organizations and initiatives to help make health and wellness improvement a reality.
IU Health seeks out partnerships with non-profit community organizations and health agencies committed to improving community health, particularly in the areas of health and social services for seniors, mental health, access to healthcare (including healthcare workforce development) and substance use (including tobacco).
Learn more about each of these priority health needs (PDF).
If your organization is interested in submitting a partnership request to any of the hospitals below, please follow the link to submit your community partnership proposal. Please note that the IU Health Community Outreach and Engagement Committee does not sponsor events but will fund direct services or programs that improve the health of the community. Read to Succeed
As part of our commitment to education and our community, IU Health Arnett continues to provide volunteers for the United Way of Greater Lafayette Read to Succeed program.
The program’s goal is to ensure that every third-grader leaves third grade reading at grade level or better. This age is the point when students shift from learning to read toward reading to learn. Without these skills, students get further behind each year and they are dramatically more likely to drop out of school.
Day of Service
The IU Health Day of Service is our annual volunteer event, engaging more than 2,000 team members statewide in activities that create or enhance assets for our local community members to make the healthy choice the easy choice.
If your organization would like to partner with IU Health on a project for Day of Service in September, please reach out to WCRCOE@iuhealth.org for more information.
Women, Infants & Children (WIC) program
This federally funded program, run locally by IU Health White Memorial Hospital, provides nutritional guidance by offering breastfeeding support, nutritional foods and education for mothers and babies in White and Carroll Counties who meet income guidelines. For more information, call 574.583.4930.
