Know signs, symptoms of stroke and BE FAST

Time is one of a healthcare provider's biggest adversaries when it comes to stroke care. The sooner a stroke can be treated, the better the outcome. The acronym BE FAST can help you recognize stroke signs and symptoms in yourself and those around you. Stroke coordinator, Carla Schick and her colleagues around the state are eager to educate all who will listen. "We teach [BE FAST] to children, families, teachers, educators and non healthcare professionals for what to watch for."
