Indiana University Health teams up with many professional sports teams, organizations, and individuals to help promote various health and fitness initiatives such as Change the Play and the Healthy Horseshoe Team. With many longstanding partnerships, such as the 100 year relationship with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, IU Health is working hard to keep fans healthy.
IU Health works with some of Indiana’s top corporate groups to enhance the health of the communities in which we serve. Whether we are recruiting one of the nation’s largest Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure teams, or providing nursing mother’s a quiet escape through the Nursing Mom’s Nest at the Indianapolis Zoo, we are always looking for ways to better the lives of Indiana residents.
Methodist Sports Medicine
Indiana University Health Physicians and Methodist Sports Medicine enjoy a strong relationship that is redefining sports medicine and athletic performance. It is our mission to maximize the potential in every athlete−whether professional athletes or weekend warriors−and decrease the potential for injury during athletic activity.
We work through numerous associations with area coaches, athletic directors and local sports clubs to provide constant care for athletes. We provide on-site evaluations and develop individual treatment plans to prevent or rehabilitate injuries. Additionally, IU Health physicians and Methodist Sports Medicine fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons are on-site during games to provide immediate care if an injury occurs.
Indiana University Health collaborates with school districts throughout the state of Indiana to provide a variety of services. These services include but are not limited to physician coverage at sporting events, certified athletic trainers, school nurses, on-site medical clinics, wellness programs, and employee health care coverage options.

IU Health partners with elite club establishments and top level youth sport organizations to help them follow the example set by collegiate and pro teams when it comes to caring for young athletes and ensuring they have access to the right team to help them reach their potential. We work through numerous associations with area coaches, directors and local sports clubs to provide constant care for athletes.
IU Health partners with several area collegiate athletic departments to care for their athletes, fans, and community. IU Health provides healthy food choices to all guests at Indiana University home football games by sponsoring the Healthy Eating Trailer.
