Volunteer at IU Health Bloomington

A non-profit relies on its community for ongoing support. Since 1961, we have relied on our volunteers to provide a number of much-needed and valuable services for our patients and staff. Today people can find fun and educational opportunities to help the community as a volunteer at Indiana University Health Bloomington.

Volunteers are located in a number of different areas in the hospital including the gift shop, the information desk, central supply and surgical services. Volunteer opportunities span from patient deliveries for flowers and mail and a variety of clerical duties to more hands on opportunities such as visiting patients with the Compassion Cart, or greeting guests in our waiting areas.

Whatever your interests are, we can find a place that suits you best. However, if you are interested in learning more about health care careers, a shadowing or internship experience may be what you're looking for.
