Physician Education

Physician Education Banner

One of the reasons IU Health is recognized nationally is because of our outstanding physicians and their commitment to on-going professional development.

Physicians are required to continually learn, prove skill competencies and stay abreast of current findings about diagnoses, treatments, patient outcomes, medical ethics, new medical research and more.

In collaboration with the Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME), The Center for Physician Education (CPE) provides learning opportunities for continued medical education for Staff Physicians.

Through the Division of Academic Affairs, The Center for Physician Education and the Office of Clinical Education (OCE) integrate multiple sources of learning resources for Staff Physicians, Fellows, Residents, Advanced Providers, Medical Students, and Advanced Provider Students so they may easily access medical topics across various disciplines.

The Office of Clinical Education (OCE) coordinates internship opportunities for Advanced Provider Students in collaboration with multiple schools throughout Indiana utilizing preceptors located at multiple IU Health facilities throughout Indiana.

The Center for Physician Education’s (CPE) mission is to empower and enable physicians to provide preeminent patient care through innovative, comprehensive learning solutions that impart knowledge, increase awareness, and facilitate progressive changes that improve quality and safety outcomes and decrease waste throughout IU Health.
